“Mizzara SLAYED my goddess locs. I showed her a picture and she gave me exactly what I wanted. Long medium goddess locs with triangle parts (parts ON POINT!). Her hands are blessed. The vibe was A1…music playing and great conversation about what’s happening in the world. Mizzara is a business woman so she’s straightforward and serious about proper hair care. Tracy, the bridal manager, answered all of my questions throughout the process and responded so quickly to all my emails. On wedding day, all four stylists got everyone’s hair and makeup done on time and we were running early all day because of it! “I booked Savannah, Abbie and Kayla for hair and makeup services on my wedding day and have nothing but nice things to say! They really listen to what you want, and deliver a customized service to each person.

Booking and communication through Lily was very clear and easy. I did a trial beforehand, and Savannah (makeup artist) took the time to read my feedback and write the most thoughtful response, reassuring me that we would make small adjustments on the wedding day to combat oil and make sure the look lasted all night (which it did!). Abbie (hair stylist) created such a timeless and beautiful half up/ half down style for me, and it not only lasted all night but I was able to give my hair a quick brush and it looked fabulous at brunch the next day too! Kayla (flex stylist) had the best energy and switched between makeup and hair effortlessly. I feel so lucky to have had them with me & my girls the morning and afternoon of my big day!“

“I love this Salon! I have been a client of Kayla since 2021. I will not see anyone else for my hair. She is so talented and always meets all of my needs. The beahive salon is always a fun and comfortable atmosphere. I truly feel like I can sit back and relax while getting my hair done. This is one of those salons where you get what you pay for- you may spend a little more but the results last such a long time compared to a cuts plus or cost cutters. “This is a long overdue review. Tammy at Hair on the Square literally did something I could find NO ONE else to do!

I live in the United Kingdom but am originally from Newington. This past summer when I was visiting home with my sons, I asked friends if anyone knew a stylist who could do a perm for a boy. If you have a teenage son you know that curly mops are in at the moment and my then 16 yo son with poker straight hair had been asking for a perm for a year. We had called around to salons in our local area in the UK but no one did perms anymore let alone men's perms. So when I arrived in CT, I asked friends and one of my particularly 'in the know' friends, got Tammy's name.

Tammy was AMAZING. From the initial contact and finding a time to squeeze us in relatively last minute, to being thoughtful, kind, and explaining the process to my son down to the science of it (he was curious), to a very reasonable rate--we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I told Tammy she should consider relocating to London as I know she'd make a killing on boy perms! :)

This is a niche market and hard to find someone who offers this service--I had been looking for a year! I hope this review helps other moms find Tammy and her amazing service.“
