Not only was his price next to amazing, and his arrival time very fast, but he blew our driveway, the porch, the grass, spread the chips (didn’t leave them in a pile), and after he noticed that I had about 4 huge branches (that needed a chain saw) laying on the side of my house, which where not anywhere near the down tree, he also took care of that too. We had some areas in our yard that needed some plants to enhance the space. Peter suggested beautiful perennials. He also noticed drainage issues and resolved the problem for us. My original front entrance had smaller stairs, multiple landing levels and inset planters that made the space feel closed off and dated. I came to Pedro with my own design ideas, and he was incredibly helpful in bringing that vision to life.

Before hiring Alvarez Masonry, I contacted about 6 masonry companies for quotes. Only 4 responded, and Pedro immediately stood out. His pricing was fair and reasonable, but what really set him apart was his responsiveness, professionalism, friendliness and experience.

Throughout the project, Pedro and his crew were exceptional. He consistently had at least 3 workers on site, and they were always professional, respectful and hardworking. At the end of every day, they thoroughly cleaned up the job site, which I really appreciated.

What impressed me most was Pedro’s level of involvement. He personally stopped by daily to check on progress and make sure I was happy with how everything was looking. If I wanted something changed or had a question, he was always patient, receptive and solution-oriented.

Even after most of the work was completed, a small section had to wait for delayed materials, and I appreciated that Pedro returned promptly within a few days to finish the job.

The craftsmanship is beautiful, and the entire process was smoother than I expected for a major masonry project. If you’re looking for a mason who is skilled, communicative, professional, reasonably priced and genuinely cares about the quality of the finished product, I would absolutely recommend Pedro and Alvarez Masonry.“
