My father passed in June 2023 and had established two trusts to care for my mother, who then passed in October 2024. As part of wrapping everything up, Stacey prepared and filed the necessary federal and state income tax returns, including the Form 1041s required to terminate both trusts. This was far more complex than we anticipated, and we would not have been able to navigate it on our own.
