I scheduled my appointment for 9 a.m. more than week in advance. Before I even arrived, the stylist claimed I hadn’t ‘confirmed’ at 6 a.m. that same morning—expecting clients to respond that early on the day of the appointment is unreasonable. If a confirmation was needed, it should have been requested the day before.
When I got there, the store was closed and I ended up waiting over 40 minutes for her to arrive. During the service, she kept repeating that it was her ‘day off’ and I didn’t confirm at 6am in the damn morning.Then rushed me about payment, even though my ride (who was also bringing the money) was less than 20 minutes away. Instead of handling that professionally, she complained as if I was at fault.
She also spent part of the appointment on the phone, using me as an excuse in her personal conversation. On a previous visit, her personal issues interfered as well—she was being yelled at on the phone and rushed off right after. So while it hasn’t happened every time, it has been a problem more than once. It seems like she takes appointments when she’s supposed to be somewhere else, then blames clients if it doesn’t go her way.
When I got home and looked closer in the mirror, I realized the hair itself wasn’t even done properly—gel was left crusted on top of my partings. Between the poor results, lateness, and unprofessional behavior, this was a disappointing experience and I will not be returning.

I have been in Bridgeport for three years looking for a braiding salon for my protective styles. After all that time I was blessed to find Q&L. I came in for a crotchet style. Having suffered hair breakage and thinning from having my son I was nervous of being turned away. Thankfully my stylist was not only understanding, but comforting and gave me tips on how to get my hair back. The quality of the braiding hair for my foundation braids was top tier. And she gave me a secure base without it feeling tight. This is a style I have gotten before and in the past the crotchet part hurt a little but not this time. The whole time was spent talking and getting to know each other. I will definitely be returning for future services. Price was more than fair, I was done in record time, no headaches, no itching and I got compliments within 5 minutes of walking out the door. Thank you!!

I called in this morning and set up an appointment to get Senegalese twists. My appointment was set for 12:30 pm. I received a follow up phone call to confirm my appointment. Let’s start off by saying amazing customer service. Amazing communication and my hair looks amazing. She took her time with my hair. This is the best hair braiding spot in Connecticut. If you don’t mind driving far this place is worth the drive. I will be only coming here to get my hair braided moving forward. Locked and saved in my favorites. You will not be disappointed.

This is my first review and I feel compelled to leave it because of how impressed I was after I got my hair done. I left happy and satisfied with my hair and how attentive Ms Mimi was. I was apprehensive when I first got to the salon because of my past bad experiences at other hair salons But I am glad I give this salon a chance. I got so much compliments about my hair and will highly recommend their services to others
