I herniated a disc in my back at L-4. The pain down my right leg was so severe that I couldn’t walk for more than 1-2 minutes at a time and I couldn’t stand up straight. I do not have a desk job and I was starting to get concerned that I would not be able to work. I tried a cortisone shot which did nothing for the pain. I was referred to Thrive by a friend and my initial consultation was with Dr. Ryan. He took x-rays and listened to all of my symptoms. I returned the next day and he had a comprehensive treatment plan for me to review. It involved spinal decompression and chiropractic adjustments. Medication or surgery were never mentioned which I really liked. Dr. Ryan was very reassuring that we could get me back to normal. I started the treatment plan and within 2-3 weeks I was walking like normal and the majority of my pain resolved. I continue to improve and I feel great about my prognosis. The staff at Thrive are awesome! I enjoy every appointment!
