Two of our dogs have had complex medical needs. We lost our 15.5 year old dog last year, who lived 3.5 years longer than expected, and our 15 year old dog’s conditions continue to be well managed under her care.

I give full credit to Dr. Llewy for extending their lives, and I will never be able to thank her enough for giving us more time with our precious girls.“

While every veterinary cardiologist in the Denver area was booked 4-6 weeks out, when I explained the dire situation, Choice Vet Specialists and Dr. Carroll Loyer managed to fit her in. We couldn’t be more impressed and thankful for the excellent care and compassion of both Dr Loyer and his entire staff. After 6 hours in their care, Zoe is so much better. Her treatment protocol is complex and Dr Loyer and his staff both explained everything until we understood and encouraged us to call anytime we have concerns or questions. This is veterinary care at its best!“

“Have taken my pets there what seems forever. The staff is welcoming and Dr. Lori and Dr. Scott are experts at what they do. This is a family vet and it is just the 2 doctors. Dr. Scott handles the large animals ( horses, etc.) and Dr. Lori handles the small animals (cats, dogs etc.). At times it is difficult to get an appointment because it's just the 2 doctors. It is always worth the wait because of their experience! I would recommend them to anyone with animals!“

I was able to get an appointment quickly and the staff and vet were very compassionate and presented me with a variety of treatment options. Unfortunately, the issue was not something that could be effectively treated and was related to old age. “We opted to get a Stifle Brace for our dog instead of surgery for a torn ACL. She now wears the brace all day, and is able to run and walk without a limp or pain. She can swim up to 25 minutes straight with hardly any rest. Our dog has been in the brace since April 2024. Very effective and easy to put on and take off.
