About Old Town Hot Springs
Old Town Hot Springs is a convenient and great location in downtown Steamboat Springs, offering natural hot spring-fed pools, water slides, and a lap pool. The facility also features a full-service fitness center with cardio machines, free weights, a climbing wall, and group exercise classes. Additionally, visitors can enjoy massage services and locker rooms with showers. Currently, the hot springs are under construction, but future plans look promising. Despite the ongoing construction, visitors can still enjoy some amenities, such as the gym and massage services. The fitness center is well-equipped and clean, and the massage therapists, like Emily, provide excellent service, targeting problem areas and communicating well during the treatment.
My family and I had a great time this morning at the hot springs. The facility check in went great (I recommend you complete the waiver prior to your visit), with convenient changing areas near to pools. The pool areas have life guards, plenty of seating and lounges and several areas to swim or simply soak. I also had a Swedish massage (1 hr) with Dorie that was fabulous. The pressure was spot on, and after a brief conversation prior she worked on areas of tightness.
Great place to spend the day! It's a bit expensive but any cheaper and it would be over packed.
Swimming was great in the warm pools, the gym was awesome, the climbing wall was a cool experience for the kids.
We didn't do the slides, mostly because we were leaving. I'm sure the kids would have done it non-stop if we'd stayed
I wanted to like OTHS but is was only average at best. There were some positives, but in the end I always felt like I needed another shower when I got home. The gym equipment is decent...but gets a ton of usage. The pools are decent too...but again they are sometimes very crowded. None of them were hot enough for my tastes. The locker rooms are tiny and always felt like they needed more cleaning attention. The men's sauna on the 2nd floor was gross...and again tiny and often over-crowded. All in all , Average at best. I like kids...just not 100 of them at the same time. One day there was like 30 kids having a picnic on the lobby floor...totally gross.
