Incredible team and clinic. They accommodated us day of - which was very much appreciated. Doc & techs explained everything so thoroughly and were very welcoming.

Called and spoke to Amaya today. Explained how my senior dog is limping due to an old dew claw injury. She was able to get me an appointment booked immediately. She was so very thorough in collecting information to share with Dr Wood!
They presented many options on how and what to do. During the visit, my dog Bubba got his x-ray. The team was absolutely amazing about explaining everything in detail!

This is one of the best veterinarian offices I've visited! Because they were so friendly and helpful, my emotions overflowed and tears rolled down my face.

We have 3 cats and 1 small dog and we have had great experiences and outcomes for all of them. From simple wellness exams, tartar control for their teeth, to minor emergency visits they accomodated oir pets' needs
We are extremely satisfied with the level of care our pets have received in addition to the reasonable prices for services. All the doctors and staff possess great bed side skills and caring, and realistic treatment plans (for our pets that needed some specialized care). Dr. Charlie and Dr. Wood are the best!! Great access to pharmacy and supportive care after medical procedures. This team of professionals at South Platte are part of our family, not just a place for vet services.

I can’t say enough good things about this veterinary office. We were referred here by a family friend, and it has completely changed our expectations of what veterinary care should look like.

This isn’t a place where you feel like you have to advocate for your pet—I always feel confident that they’re already doing everything they can with the best intentions at heart. They never try to upsell or push unnecessary treatments. In fact, Dr. Charlie has even taken the time to search pharmacy websites to find the most affordable medication options for our dog.

We bring all three of our dogs here, including our American Akita, who can be a bit difficult at the vet, and the entire team handles him so well. Drake is especially excellent at what he does, and you can truly tell that everyone there has a genuine calling to work with animals.

One of the biggest things that stood out to us was when another vet told us one of our dogs would need a full ACL repair, costing thousands of dollars with a very difficult recovery. After getting a second opinion from Dr. Charlie—our first experience with South Platte—we were given a completely different, more realistic plan, and our dog has now made almost a full recovery without surgery.

We are currently navigating a cancer diagnosis with one of our dogs, Blaze, and their support has meant everything to us. At one point, an emergency vet told us we should consider putting her down within the next couple of days, which felt incredibly rushed and overwhelming. Dr. Charlie has taken a completely different approach—she’s helping us explore at-home services, checking in on how Blaze is feeling, and making sure we feel supported every step of the way. It truly feels like she’s navigating this alongside us. No matter how small our questions may seem, she never makes us feel like a burden and always gets back to us in a timely manner so we feel informed and confident in our plan.

I’ve already recommended this office to several people and will continue to do so without hesitation.

Came here for the first time in an unfortunate circumstance with a very sick elderly cat. The tech and vet were absolutely amazing and treated us and kitty with the best care. Gave us time to say goodbye and didn’t rush us out of the room until we were ready. We would definitely come back here with a future pet for care. Could not say enough for how much they cared! An amazing staff from the front desk to the assistant and doctors. Very loving caring and informative. Our dogs feel safe and comfortable.

I brought my 10 year old dog in for a first visit to check out an eyelid growth and the staff was so amazing. She has a history of being bad at the vet and neither the techs nor the doc were afraid of her. They got down on the ground with her and went very slowly to gain her trust. The doctor was able to do the entire exam without a muzzle which has never been possible before!
They were transparent with pricing and went over everything before doing any services. I thought the prices were very reasonable and they worked with my budget. The staff were so friendly and my dog and I had a great experience.

Seeking out a second opinion for my family’s dog who suffered a laceration on the side of her body, I was given multiple options on how to best approach the issue after her stitches were self removed.

The staff I worked with (Drake and Dr. Wood) both provided gentle and diligent care. After taking a small blood/cell sample, they determined no indications of bacterial growth and advised the best route for treatment for the remainder of the wound’s healing process.

I was able to leave informed. I do not currently own any pets myself but if I am to, I know I could bring them here with more peace of mind than elsewhere I’ve visited. Thanks to both Drake, Dr. Wood, and all the awesome staff here for what you do :)
