“This flooring business is a real gem in Salida. They have a good selection of quality flooring, a comfortable location where knowledgeable people are there to answer your questions, and the professionalism to ensure you are happy with the installed product. In spring of 2026, we worked with the Hylton flooring folks to order and install new carpeting in all our bedrooms. Being local in Salida, we like to work with and support local business. Salida is fortunate to have a reliable and friendly flooring business.”

A Traditional Hardwood Floors

“5 star+ experience with Lyndsey and James. After a very productive consultation, both on sight and at the store, Lyndsey provided several options and recommendations based on their deep experiences in working with older homes and wood floors specifically. We systematically evaluated REAL hardwood options and came to an absolutely brilliant solution that was both economical and hugely valuable. James' team worked so fast, efficient and clean - didn't even have to dust. The final product speaks for itself, stunning red oak #1 floors throughout the historic house. Invest in the 100 year floor option, bypass all the engineered products...worth it in the long run both in terms of health and beauty. Highly recommend this team!!!”
