I was so nervous coming here not knowing what to expect. The staff immediately made me comfortable. From then on I felt at home. The staff is so helpful and friendly. I met amazing people going through the same stuff as me. Highly recommend this facility.

For me. It was as if they showed me the owner's manual for my brain and then, taught me how to repair it.

Highly recommend, awesome facility to detox in. Staff was top tier, they have everything you need to start your recovery. On the plus side they let you keep your phone.

This place truly changed my life. While the beautiful facility and excellent food made my stay comfortable, it was the incredible staff who made the greatest impact. I gained a much deeper understanding of myself and the underlying causes of my addiction. The therapists are exceptional. They create a compassionate, supportive environment that allows you to do the difficult work of healing and self-discovery. I am forever grateful for this experience and for the foundation it has given me as I continue my recovery and personal growth.

Where do I start? The counselors and case workers seem overwhelmed with extremely high caseloads, which appeared to impact the level of care provided. During my stay of more than a month, I never met with a counselor, my insurance paperwork was not submitted correctly, and I did not receive an aftercare treatment plan upon discharge.

In my experience, many staff members were rude, and the overall environment felt unnecessarily militant rather than supportive. I also observed what I believe were several concerning issues with how the facility operates.

If you're considering this facility, I encourage you to do your research, ask detailed questions, and make sure you understand what services will actually be provided. I also found the recent influx of 5-star reviews over the past few weeks unusual and would encourage prospective patients to read reviews carefully and consider a range of experiences before making a decision. It may also be helpful to review complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) as part of your research before choosing a treatment provider.

I spent 72 days at this facility for the first time in any kind of recovery facility so didn't know what to expect. What Palmer Lake did was far exceeded my expectations or reservations before going in. The most caring, loving and beautiful staff you will meet anywhere! Some people come to work for a paycheck, these folks come to work only because they care to see everyone get better and stay better! It should be called, Palmer Lake Recovery University! I had two separate therapists and dang they were good!! The level of experience staff and education they teach about substance abuse is at a Harvard level.
The location and facility is beautiful and the food, dining hall is five star! They clearly know what they are doing.
