I hadn't gotten my hair cut since October 2018 and decided it was time, so I spent some time looking for a local salon and settled on Back Porch. I'm very happy I did. The salon (a separate studio at the back of the owner's home - hence the name!) was beautifully designed and very homey/relaxing to be in... and I loved the private feeling of being the only person there, since it's a one-chair salon. Laura (the owner) was absolutely lovely. She listened and wasn't afraid to do what I wanted (cut 15 inches of hair up to my chin). I love the result, and Laura offered to donate my hair for me so that I wouldn't have to bother with the packaging... read full review

Back Porch salon has been my place for my hair care needs for over 5 years. Laura knows how to cut and shape difficult styles and my color is always stunningly perfect. Laura works with style and class. Thank you for taking such good care of my and my family

I have very difficult hair and I never have had a person (Laura) who understood my hair, gave me the perfect cut and on my next visit will do a partial color for me. I HIGHLY recommend her. Jackie Rape' (a new customer for life)
