Mountain View Cemetery

My mother loved Mountain View Cemetery and wanted to be there on her death. My husband, having progressive supranuclear palsy, died young and he is there as well. We have planted perennials there and watered them and cared for them. But 2 weeks ago, the weedwackers came…the succulents, the yarrow, the English daisies, the ferns all mowed to the dirt to make room for winter artificial flowers. My granddaughters said on our Sunday visit, “Why?” I could not answer them just as I cannot tell them why spree killers murder people. So unnecessary….so horrible. We felt like the Sycamore Gap tree.

My home away from home. By mid October, the ground keepers prep the cemetery for artificial flowers since winter is around the corner. Love how they keep the grounds clean and mowed on a weekly basis. Very friendly staff. Never have had any issues with any of my plots.

I really loved the turn out for the Memorial ceremony, there was love and support for our veterans. our young Marines was there cleaning on the memorial stones of the veterans and it was very moving very touching and it showed the young kids how important for us to remember are lost forgotten veterans and how important it is to remember the vets that fought for our country that gave their all for Our Country, to give us the freedom that we have. Very well done Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
