Do not waste your money. Their movers caused significant gouges to our floor. Upon their accepting responsibility for the mistake, they did take pictures of the damage. We then were instructed to obtain a bid from a floor company to fix the damage; however, once we submitted the bid for $ 1700 we were told to call their claim department and ask for Barry. After 3 phone calls to Barry with NO response, we then started calling Michael (dispatcher) to ask for assistance. No response from anyone at this business.
Update: No resolution from Toby Martinez (owner), Michael or Rich. My calls have been going to VM. Update 2. Final resolution : HGM has paid $ 400 for the floor damage caused by their movers. Their 1 star is now 2.

Our crew consisted of Dan, Elias, and Matt. From the moment they showed up the crew was super nice and got right to work. We were pleasantly surprised at the speed and professionalism with which the crew worked and they were packed up and ready to move before we knew it. Unloading was a breeze and the crew was emphatic that they not be done until everything was to our satisfaction. This was our first time using movers and we could not recommend them highly enough!

Homegrown was so easy to work with. Everyone was friendly and extremely efficient. Pedro, Nick, and Eli did an amazing job! Hats off to them because they had multiple flights of stairs to go up!! Highly recommend this company - it was a seamless experience!

These guys are great! Second time using them and would highly recommend. Professional, accountable, respectful, and hard working from Michael in the office to Skylar our sales rep and to Gabe and his crew of movers who worked a long day to ensure that our move was completed. If you have an upcoming move, these guys deserve your consideration.

Just an all around really bad experience.
Quoted for 3.5 hours to pack and move a 1 bedroom. Movers showed up and apparently management did not tell them it was a full pack and move.
They end up taking 7.75 hours and leave the bathroom and linen closets untouched. Homegrown offers us two choices: either get only 2 hours refunded, or send new movers to finish the job but pay for 7.75 hours.
I chose to get 2 hours refunded since paying over twice the estimate would have been absurd. We still end up paying over $1,000 when quoted $675 and I finished moving myself.
They refused to give us any more money back when we called later.
I highly recommend you do not use this company since they make the customer pay for their mistakes and miscommunication.

I've used Homegrown twice now and they've been great both times. Mike is always so kind and friendly when I call to set up my moves, and he does his best to accommodate my needs. The first time I had Angel and Dan as my movers and they were quick, efficient and careful with my belongings. The second time, Angel came back with Pedro and this time they took some things to donation and moved some other large furniture for me. Again they were very careful with my furniture, wrapping it to protect it from dust while it's stored, and were even kind while I was nervous about them moving big/heavy things (I had no reason to be nervous- they had it under control). I will use them again for another upcoming need I have, and again I'll ask for at least Angel to come back if not Pedro or Dan as anybody Mike has sent my way have not only been respectful to me as a customer, but also to each other using their manners and speaking to each other respectfully, which I appreciate. I've also referred Homegrown to my boss for his upcoming move.

This was our 9th move and first with a local mover. At first things went well but as the day got longer and the guys got more tired things started to go downhill. The packing up was probably the best of all of our moves. As they began to unload on a long 2nd day our railings got scratched and damaged. We had item damage also.
They covered the cost of the upgraded coverage premium, but what a surprise . They covered about next to nothing and paid out by weight of the item. I was verbally assured they would fix anything that was damaged. But in the end they only paid $230 for a stand up jewelry cabinet, a stand up fan, 5 pier one drink glasses, lost 5 of 9 candles from a wall fixture, damaged picture frame, and a few other items.
Bottom line, I would not recommend them.

We hadn't moved in 34 years so we were stressed just thinking about what was to come. But the minute we met Mike, from Homegrown Moving, for our estimate, we knew we were in good hands. Communication was great. On moving day two trucks and a four man crew (Pedro, Jonah, Daniel and Miguel) arrived on time ready to work. They were all professional, friendly and extremely hard workers. By late afternoon everything we owned was moved and placed where we wanted it in our new home. The crew handled all of our possessions with great care and made what could have been a very stressful day into a very positive experience. Thank you Homegrown!!
