Wonderful relaxing massage with Susan! She really took great care of me and I enjoyed every minute of my experience. Will definitely book again! The Himalayan salt stones felt amazing and make all the difference.

This review is specifically for the Hand & Stone in Highlands Ranch, Colorado (County Line Road & University location). I’ll start with the one positive: our massage therapist Gigi is absolutely outstanding. She is without question one of the best massage therapists I’ve ever seen, and I’ve had several hundred massages over the past 30+ years. Her professionalism, skill, and genuine care are exceptional, and she deserves every bit of recognition. She is the only reason I stayed a member here as long as I did.

Now for the reality: the management at this location is a disgrace. The manager, Adrian, is by far the worst I have ever encountered anywhere. I have personally witnessed him disrespecting his employees, treating them with no courtesy or dignity. I’ve seen him argue with customers right in the lobby. I’ve watched him sit at his desk glued to his phone while the front desk staff are drowning, stressed, and overwhelmed. He does not lead, he does not support, and he does not care. The result is constant turnover — and it’s obvious why. The work environment is toxic, and the only consistent thing here is Adrian’s refusal to do his job. Frankly, I’m shocked anyone still works here at all.

Even worse, this has gone on for as long as my family and I have been members. It’s obvious upper management and regional management have done absolutely nothing about it. Friends and family of mine have complained in the past, and those complaints went nowhere. That tells me Adrian is protected by his management friends above him, part of a “good old boy” network that shields him from accountability. Shame on Hand & Stone for looking the other way and allowing this to continue.

I’ve been in management myself at large companies, and I’ve never seen leadership this incompetent. Adrian is the textbook definition of the Peter Principle: promoted into a role he is completely unsuited for, and everyone around him pays the price.

My family and I have been loyal members for years, but enough is enough. We are all canceling our memberships. Hand & Stone corporate: you are losing loyal, paying customers because of Adrian and your refusal to act. Until there is a serious change in leadership, I cannot in good conscience recommend this location to anyone

I had a massage today with Elliot and he was absolutely amazing—very skilled and professional. I left feeling relaxed and very pleased with his work.

Unfortunately, my experience with Hand & Stone itself was frustrating. When I called yesterday, I was told my gift card was valid for a 90-minute hot stone massage. They even booked me based on that information. But when it came time to check out, I was told the gift card only covered 50 minutes and that I owed an additional $60.

On top of that, I was pressured to sign up for a membership. I had already read reviews mentioning this, so I expected it, but when I declined, the receptionist (who was otherwise very sweet) asked me why I wouldn’t sign up. I understand it’s part of her job, but I found the policy inappropriate—it puts customers on the spot and feels pushy.

So while I’d highly recommend Elliot for a massage, I can’t say the same about the company’s policies and booking practices.

Incredibly hard to get out of your membership. Not worth the money.

Very pushy sales, over priced and poor quality of service. If you want to spend a couple hundred dollars getting brushed with a feather and ignored by the staff, come here! I honestly get a much better massage in the park meadows mall.

Charged me an additional $10 for a prenatal massage and another $10 for a specific masseuse who was trained to perform a prenatal massage. I spent an additional $20 on top of the standard massage rate, simply because I was pregnant. When asked if I would like to sign up for a monthly membership of $89.95, I asked if I would be charged another $20, for a total monthly membership of $109.95. They said yes. The manager was unwilling to wave this. I checked and this is discrimination against the Pregnancy Act. I phoned corporate to report this after confirming other nearby locations do NOT charge for prenatal massages. The front desk staff was nice but not well versed or capable of answering my questions when I was at this appointment. The massage was mediocre at best. I'll be going elsewhere and recommend any other pregnant women to do the same. This location is not deserving of your business.
