I had them come to my home in Grand Junction to steam clean my carpets. The only room I actually looked at before I paid them was a room that had very old, pet urine accidents all over it carpet. It looked better for sure but still had many stains on it and still very strong urine order. I didn’t expect miracles with that carpet for sure.The rest of the carpet that was cleaned was only 4 months old. I was having it cleaned immediately after dog sitting 2 bulldogs. They had a couple accidents because they were used to having a dog door at their home and I didn’t get them outside fast enough to prevent all the accidents. The guy pretreated the accident areas with some kind of pet stain/smell cleaner. Also he did an old couch I had that I knew was pretty dirty. After he was done, paid, and a tip given, and he left I looked around. I had pointed out to him some areas that the dogs had been laying, they were obviously dirtier that the rest of the carpet and after being cleaned they were still obviously dirtier than the rest of the carpet. I had vacuumed all the carpets and the couches before the cleaner came to get as much dog hair up as I could using a pet hair specific vacuum, the Dyson animal. The day after cleaning I vacuumed again because the carpet felt a little “crunchy.” Boy, I picked up a bunch more hair that was left after it was supposedly cleaned. I will not be using Good Shepard again for anything. All in all I can not recommend them in good conscience. Lesson learned. Also it was 1 bedroom, living room and dining room with only a table in the dining area. 2 short sets of stairs, a very small basement where I asked that just the open areas be done not under any furniture, a couch and a loveseat. $490 and a $30 tip(that wasn’t really earned.) Also, after it dried I was walking on it in some light colored socks, hoping it looked better after drying. It did not. In fact after walking in only the cleaned floor areas I looked at the bottom of my socks. I was amazed at the amount of dirt on them. I am very unhappy…..
