I thought I was just getting new shingles. But, as it turns out, the skylight was leaking and it ruined one sheet of the roof decking (black mold). They replaced the decking and repaired the skylight so it won't leak anymore. They also replaced the rusty 31 year old attic vents and painted them and the two furnace flues (one for the furnace and one for a natural gas garage heater in the garage) to match the color of the new roof. They did an excellent job cleaning up too. I haven't any nails around the house. It worked out that I approved their bid on a Thursday and the following Tuesday they installed the new roof.
