Mckibben Fitness Center offers a wide range of equipment, including machines, power racks, and dumbbells, making it an ideal gym for individuals starting out in bodybuilding, powerlifting, or boxing. The gym has undergone upgrades, adding more space and equipment, including a track and calisthenics areas. It is known to be a sanctuary for many, inspiring individuals on their fitness journeys and providing a safe haven for personal growth. With a variety of times to visit, including morning hours, members can enjoy a comfortable and convenient workout experience. Currently, the gym is closed for renovation, and many members are eager for it to reopen, as it is considered one of the best gyms on Fort Carson base. The staff is noted for being accommodating, ensuring a pleasant experience for all, including those with service dogs.
You broke me and carried me.. you made me feel like the man I desire to become.. you inspired me.. you smelled pretty sick in the Back room when the staff quit allowing the back doors to be opened for fresh air.. but.. you were my Sanctuary and Safe Haven.. I Prayed in you, I cried in you, I felt hatred towards the world, and you fueled me to shred my body into a soulless machine.. R.I.P. McKibben..
Best gym out of the four that are on Fort Carson base. Ivy is the planet fitness of gyms, Waller feels claustrophobic without it being at fuller capacity due to inefficient layout and has crusty/old equipment, and I just haven't been to Garcia yet as I was told it wasn't really a lifting gym.
This gym is currently closed for renovation since being back from deployment and it needs to hurry up and re-open :(
McKibben Fitness Center is a very nice gym with a lot to offer Soldier’s, Retiree’s and Family members. My service dog and I have come here often since 2015 and have always had a pleasant experience. The staff is always very accommodating towards me and my service dog.
