I see specialists located in the medical offices here. There is never any parking and the staff fills up the patient and visitor parking garage. I actively consider all my options before choosing a provider located here because it's not worth the stress every time I have an appointment. The hospital doesn't seem to care that the staff park in patient parking, and neither do the staff who drive aggressively in the parking garage when there are patients in their way. While I like the providers I see in the medical offices, I haven't had pleasant experiences with hospital staff and am unsure what an inpatient experience would be like.

Checked in during wee hours of July 18(?). Checked out now. Everyone was in-sync in their care. Also very friendly people/ Staff! Many caring people attempting to bring my level of care to where I am comfortable to come home.

Provides excellent care and expansive knowledge in multiple disciplines of medicine to diagnose and treat patients. Highly recommend.

Wow! I cannot believe the care they provide here! I went into the ER- they blew out my vein while doing my IV... then they take me for my cat scan... bring me back to the room and leave me without my IV for over an hour and without my blood pressure cuff which fell on the floor...A "lead" idk... cna, nurse... took out my IV (idk) and leaves me without it again... another nurse comes in shortly after and tells me that vein is now blown out. She picks up my blood pressure cuff off the floor (dirty) and tells me I have to leave it on..THEY took it off and never put it back on!!! Just like the IV... then she asks me if I need a pain shot I said yes but she wants to give me Tylenol pills while she asks the dr for the injection pain medication. When I asked a question -she had to repeat herself-she spoke to me like I was a retard...very rude! I wouldn't recommend coming here if you need serious care. First and last time only because they were in my network.

If you are not in an emergency situation and you have a choice of hospitals, DO NOT CHOOSE SWEDISH. My son went to Swedish via ambulance on July 3rd. Today is July 7th and he has not been visited by a physician for 2 days. I realize it's a holiday weekend - BUT IT IS A HOSPITAL!!!!! Nurses are super nice. The caseworker doesn't really know what she's doing. Just don't go there.

I am very angry for how the parking garage is managed. People are parking in unauthorized spots and blocking vehicles in, and no one is doing anything about it. Yesterday my son drove himself to therapy there. Parked in a designated parking spot on the highest level as it was the only spot available. When he left two cars were illegally parked behind him and he was unable to leave. He contacted security, who told him there is nothing they could do. He called the police who were supposed to calk him back but never did as it apparently did not constitute an emergency. Defeated and in pain from his recent surgery and therapy he took the bus home. As he was walking to the bus stop in 90 degree weather he passed another security guard who was on his cell phone and smoking a cigarette sitting in front of the coffee shop across the street from the parking garage. Made my son wonder why he wasn't doing his job. We had to go back in the evening to get his car. It was stressful and inconvenient. I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else. In the least, cones should be put up where there is a potential for someone to park so as not to block anyone in. My son took down license plates and took photos. We will pursue how to handle this legally.

Hospitalist service is rude and neglects patient care. Their attitude is "this is not my problem". Nurses are nice but can't/won't do anything without (aforementioned) Hospitalists' orders. Employees complain in patient hearing about how much they hate their job, and the care they provide clearly reflects this. The facility is nice, if a terrible maze.

My elderly father was in this hospital for a week. PT never worked with him. The nurses would not let him leave a chair. He ended up with bed sores from sitting in a recliner. The day he was discharged they helped him to the bathroom and let him fall backwards, cracking his head open and needed 14 stitches. Likely brain injury from this fall led to his death several weeks later. Social workers do not work for this hospital. They work off of their private cell phones and then when I followed up, they were working in a different hospital. I had to call the nursing desk on his floor to find out who the social worker for that day was. No communication and terrible follow through.

I am impressed with the help my husband received in the ER then OR and ICU. We are grateful and admire every one of those healthcare workers at Swedish Hospital. By the way since I walked through the whole hospital during the first day I have seen how much they take good care of cleanliness of the whole building.

Husband's primary care's nurse said to get my husband to ER because of high bp readings for 2 days. Not to Urgent Care even..."get him to ER." Swedish ER experience was a nightmare. Never again...and for 20 years, we have loved that hospital. He was wired up, needed the bathroom, I had to hunt down a urinal but at the angle he was in the bed, of course, it ran all over him. He had to be cleaned up 3x, sheets changed (two staff each time).. And he was across the hall from a patient bathroom He was miserable. When I asked for help with the blaring buzzers and for him to be unhooked from all the "unmonitored" monitors (no IV), I was told: "This is an ER and we're saving lives down the hall." (meanwhile, his bp was 234...absolutely negligent!!!) Lots of chit chating going on that I witnessed. I inquired if they were even set up to receive patients in this new ER room he was in. I had delivered him myself...never again. Will always call 911 in the future! Much different treatment when you arrive by paramedics. And NEVER again to Swedish!
