In town visiting and on our way to Pagosa Springs. My son-in-law started feeling crummy and running fever. Found this clinic that takes walk-ins and says they treat minor illnesses and injuries. However, when we got there, after waiting for the lunch hour to be over, we were told that’s not the kind of walk ins they take. Told us to go to an urgent care. Very disappointed not to be able to be seen at this clinic.

This lady says ‘I don’t know’ an awful lot for a dr. Is rude and unhelpful. She also doesn’t know anything about pediatrics and turned my son away so she is not a family doctor at all. Is not thorough whatsoever and always seems in a rush even though no ones ever in her office. I was a patient from the dr who owned the practice before and have left after seeing Dr. McEvers several times with no empathy, help, or resolutions.

Super impersonal experience while looking for a path to a diagnosis during a very scary time. The Nurse Practitioner (McEvers) is really only good for a quick 10 minute prescription and bloodwork referral, both of which are limited and closed minded.

I miss Dr. Newell, that’s all that needs to be said. I genuinely feel as if Dr. McEvers is not here for the well-being of her patients, but to practice her inert practices. I’m aware it is doctors job to practice what they’ve learned, but it’s more important to accommodate for the patient, which is not the case here. Im currently still receiving a medication prescribed here, thyroid, which requires bloodwork every couple of years or so. Thyroid supplementation can effectively impact every aspect of hormonal properties, and it’s imperative that I can see how they are effected. She severed ties with the blood lab and told me she doesn’t offer hormonal blood labs anymore. If this example isn’t a presage for other patients disapproval, I’m not sure what else is.

This place is horrible. They cannot see you. I've been calling for weeks with a sinus infection, they keep saying go to the hospital. I just went to urgent care to receive antibiotics. They could've done this for me. Instead I've been living with a sinus infection for weeks. Do not go here.

We have been patients at Family Health Care for over a year. Dr Thomas Newell and Dr Vitina Cosse were incredible and exactly what our family needed. I called to make an appt for my child and found out the practice was sold without notice and the new doc doesn't have experience with children. I now have to find a new family doctor with ZERO notice. I'm blown away at this transition and can't believe how unprofessional all involved were.I previously gave a 5 star review, but with all of the changes, I can't endorse this practice.

So blessed we found this place! Dr Newell is the best, he doesn’t just push meds like most docs do. He offers other more natural alternatives. I rarely give my 3 year old any meds and prefer to try homeopathic remedies first and Dr Newell is on the same page with me. I absolutely love his approach!
