Michael was incredibly helpful in treating my tension headaches. From the very beginning, his professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail made me feel comfortable and confident in his care. My headaches had become increasingly severe, and after trying countless remedies with little to no success, acupuncture with Michael made all the difference. Thanks to his treatment, my headaches completely went away. I can't recommend him enough to anyone dealing with headaches or looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate acupuncturist.
For years I have had a problematic lower back. About three times a year, I manage to tweak my lower back while doing the most simple and random things such as reaching for a towel from the shower or leaning over slightly to wash my dog. Hoping to find a way to expedite the healing process, several friends told me to try acupuncture. Michael Lay was referred to me as having been extensively trained in traditional Oriental acupuncture.

I first came to uptown acupuncture because of an injury from two years ago that felt like would never reach 100% again. Even after PT I was unable to trust my knee and would have baseline swelling and pain and no access to end rangers of motion. I would second guess how I participated in my normal activities and hobbies, or always prepared for more pain and swelling after.
I have worked with Dr. Ali for 3 sessions now and my response to treatment has made me so hopeful. My swelling and pain has gone away and I feel a real connection to my muscles and body again that felt blocked before.
She always listens to what I have felt in response to previous treatments...read full review
