John is an excellent teacher. I’ve been taking singing lessons with him for several months now and have had massive improvements in my confidence and ability. I’m a guitarist that always wanted to be able to sing but thought because I wasn’t born with that gift so I was out of luck. On a whim I signed up for singing lessons with John.
He is a very patient and thoughtful teacher. I thought I would be running endless scales and breathing exercises but he has you working on singing right away which was fantastic.

I am so glad I found John. I struggle singing in front of others and the space that he created is really welcoming and warm. I had a previous experience with another instructor and when I left her lesson I remember feeling embarrassed. Lessons with John left me feeling lighter, more relaxed and motivated to keep going. I really appreciate having the chance to work on my voice with someone who I respect both as a human and coach. I think he is extremely talented.
