I have been studying vocal jazz and composition with Donna for two years, and I am so grateful to have her as a coach and mentor! Her technical knowledge and real-world experience, paired with her rigorous and supportive approach to lessons has taken my performance, improvisation, and composition skills to new heights. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to take their artistry to the next level!

I have studied voice, improvisation, and composition with Donna for 4 years at the University of Denver. She has been a tremendous influence on my music career, being a supportive and wise mentor. Donna is an amazing, diverse vocalist and teacher. Under her caring guidance I developed into a better jazz musician, improved my vocal technique, learned more about my voice as an instrument, and investigated my capacity for composing and song-writing. I would strongly recommend Donna as a teacher to any musician, beginner or advanced, for she is nurturing to each person's individuality. If you are open, your lessons can be an interesting journey full of discoveries!

Wow, Donna is the best. I had a last-minute gig, and she was amazing at giving me clear instructions to get me ready. Over the long haul, Donna has helped me to become a better musician and composer. Any musician who is serious about taking their music to the next level will get a lot of benefit from working with Donna!

From Donna Wickham Music

I am a professional vocalist, keyboardist, composer/arranger who works in classical, jazz, and popular genres. I hold a BM degree in vocal performance and an MM degree in conducting. I recently retired from teaching jazz and commercial music at the University of Denver to focus more on my private studio. I take an individualized approach to private lessons, which allows us to focus on your most important musical goals, whether they be jazz or classical voice and piano, theory and ear training, improvisation, listening/transcribing, text analysis, composition/arranging, music history, performance skills, and repertoire.
