DWR literally saved my life. When I first entered the program I was a beyond broken 21 yr old who thought their life would definitely end in incarceration. After leaving a correctional facility, doing a full treatment program I had no where to go. DWR full forced swept in and welcomed me with open arms. The community within DWR is something I forever will hold near and dear to my heart. They helped me become an independent sober women and words could never be enough to express my gratitude. Everything about Denver Women’s Recovery was home the minute I walked through the doors.DWR was everything I needed at every level of my rock bottom. Every staff member played a pivotal role in my time at DWR. I am thankful for the way each part of the IOP program was run and how the curriculum was delivered. I grew into who I am as a person through IOP and OP processing groups led by great facilitators in a safe environment. I felt free to be me at all times and never once felt judged for being who I am. No other way to say it, other than this place changed my life. I was at DWR for almost 15 months which is a tad longer than the intended timeline of their program :) I kept coming back because I knew I wouldn’t find a better place to heal, and they never gave up on me. Their staff is supportive, kind and extremely capable. (Special shout outs to Amanda, Zoe, Laura, Venus and Queen Bader) They all genuinely care about each of their clients and provide a safe space to foster growth and healing for all types of women and their families.
