I had Jeremy Pugh as my hair designer. He was learning how to a precision hair cut. His owner was involved with this cut as well. My hair turned out very beautiful. I felt beautiful when I left. Gorgeous hair and none of the ego. You could say making people look and feel beautiful is in Roger, Bang the Salon's owner's, genes. And in fact, it is in his DNA. The Garcia family has been the longstanding hair dynasty in Denver for as long as I can remember. Roger has been doing my hair since before he opened Bang. I wouldn't trust anyone else. His talent is off the charts, and he is all about the client experience. He'll steer you towards a style that works with your hair texture, facial features, and lifestyle, but gives you the look that YOU want. You get the impression right away that this isn't about him, it's about you. In my experience, such a high degree of talent typically comes with an attitude. However, this is not the case with Roger. He is humble, very funny, makes you feel comfortable, and you will feel heard. I trust him so much, that long ago, I happily decreed him the "boss of my hair." When I sit in his chair and he asks "what are we doing today?" I laugh and tell him to just do his thing. He's committed to perfection in himself and his staff. Speaking of his staff. Hairdressers have longevity at Bang. This is no doubt that this is because he and Lisa, his wife and business partner, run the business in a way that respects clients and employees. I had positive experiences up until a year or so ago. Recently, I've received calls asking me to come earlier or later for my appointment a few hours before my time slot. It's happened at least four times. It's frustrating to pick a time and not have it confirmed. On my last visit, they called to say they were running 45 min to an hour late and when I said I couldn't make that work but said I could reschedule, they asked that I come in anyway and the stylist clearly rushed and did my haircut in 20 minutes but still charged me full price. Very disappointed and will be changing salons now.
