Here's our experience at Above Ground Lodo. My kid's (17nb) stepmother said that after they took senior pictures that they could cut their hair however they wanted. Several of my friends all recommended Above Ground. We went to Isaac. And this barber, this glorious, incredible man. I tell you what. He kept hyping them up through the whole thing, asked their pronouns, did mental health check-ins throughout the service, and kept maintaining consent for everything he did to them. It was unlike any salon service I've ever seen. He was so incredible! My kiddo absolutely loves their new hair. Like, to the point that they had a positive breakdown in the car afterwards, and said, "Mom, I hate looking in mirrors, and after he finished, I looked in the mirror, and can't stop smiling cuz now I just see me" 😭 I started bawling too, it was a thing, we had a moment. I will absolutely be having all of my salon services done at Above Ground from now on!
York is seriously the best! My hair feels so healthy, and I learned so much about taking care of my hair. I’m so in love with my cut. York truly takes her hospitality and hair expertise to the next level. I’m so thankful to have found such an amazing stylist!
