They are thorough, open, and informative, effectively guiding patients through recovery. The staff is engaged, attentive, and helpful. The benefit is that patients often work consistently with the same knowledgeable therapist, who always knows their progress and provides focused, effective care. The therapists are clear about the need to do work at home to achieve great results, reminding patients how far they have come. Both occupational therapy and physical therapy are available at this location. The office is supportive, with a helpful waiting area. Most insurance is accepted, though an appointment in advance is required. Patients highly recommend Johnson Physical Therapy.

I had an incredible first session with Seth yesterday
I did not know what Stellar Physical Therapy was until I experienced Johnson Physical Therapy
I have been to another physical therapist in Cortez, who employs primarily recently graduated physical therapists

Yesterday‘s appointment with Seth for an initial 12 session series for a trapezium strain
I did not know an experienced physical therapist had so much knowledge to impart
My previous experience consisted of a series of exercises that were not explained to me

I had a total knee replacement and it was a very difficult recovery. Jude was very caring and encouraging, while always keeping me focused on getting more bend and flexibility in my new knee. He taught me to work through the pain—-the phrase no pain no gain is true here. The benefit with Jude is that he’s the only therapist in the office. You get him every time. You don’t have to guess who you work with each session, so he always knows where you are in your progress. He doesn’t pull punches, tells you that you need to do the work at home, in order to have a great functioning knee that will bend to 130 degrees. When I arrived in the area for vacation, I needed physical therapy to continue recovery from a broken hip. I called Johnson Physical Therapy the morning after our arrival, talked to the savvy person in charge of appointments and was quickly signed up to begin therapy.I could not have been more thoughtfully and effectively guided through the next five weeks of therapy than I was by Tom and Mae. They were thoughtful, caring, encouraging, and clearly very skilled in gauging the needs and abilities of each client.
