Westside Cares

Westside CARES is a nonprofit organization that brings together 24 interfaith communities in El Paso County to provide crisis human services. They assist individuals and families in need, with the only criteria being genuine need and residency within their service area. Westside CARES collaborates with other agencies to ensure adequate crisis intervention services and create a network of interdependent and complementary services. One individual appreciates the help they receive yearly during the holidays, although the assistance was minimal this year with gift cards. Another individual expresses gratitude for the support in obtaining identification, clothing items, and guidance to access food resources. A third person shares how the agency has been instrumental in providing hygiene products and housing resources for the past 5 years of homelessness. They also highlight the availability of staff and volunteers to connect families with valuable community resources and comprehensive services.
