West Side Laundry and Dry Cleaners
“Really Liked this laundromat. Its small with all big machines that take $3 less than other laundromats. It smelled good, it was a little busy but not bad for Sunday before labor day. What I love about this place is they offer free laundry Monday mornings to people who need it. They also give free soap and also all day Tuesdays. The fact they help the community says so much about what they care about. While I was there two older disabled men came in. The gentleman in the wheel chair could not open the door at all. I helped him, but as a person with massive amounts of laundry that day, so many I have a wagon that was carrying 10 loads of laundry, detergent and my 10 yr old Chihuahua support dog, (I have a doctors note), in a dog sling around the front of me, getting in and out of this facility is tricky. I feel a huge part of doing laundry is how easy it is to get in and out.
A laundromat with automatic doors is heaven, a ramp for the wagon, people in wheelchairs; strollers etc is welcoming and makes a person feel at ease from the jump. The laundry side is small, but all the machines are huge 4 load machines. It had two change machines, it was well lit when it got dark. The way you get in and out of the parking lot makes it much safer than at a strip mall or someplace where it’s busy with traffic and you are trying to get to your car with laundry etc. They even have a bench out front you can sit on while you wait.
I am super picky about laundry. If a laundromat is dirty, unaccommodating or outrageously expensive it’s not a place I go to twice. This place has more pros than cons. If it had automatic doors I would have given it a 5. But my laundry got clean, the facility shows its maintained. And it’s open until 11pm 7 days a week which is huge, especially in that area. It was a fairly uneventful laundry day, exactly how I like it. I will go back; and if you message them from google, they message back. I liked that, so good customer communication.”
