When we first started coming here we really liked it.. Now it is an absolute nightmare. We get here early every time in case there is paperwork or anything that needs done. We end up sitting in the waiting room for 20-30 minutes PAST our appointment! We very rarely get notified when our kid needs to be dilated and then have to wait another 20-30 minutes to be seen after being dilated!
Today (3-12-2026) we sat in the waiting room for almost 30 minutes PAST our 1:50 appointment, my husband had to go up and see what was going on and was met with a nasty attitude from one of the reception. Another receptionist went back to check and finally we got taken back, just to be dilated and sent straight back to the waiting area for another 30 minutes!! Got taken to the room at 3:05 and the dr didn’t come into the room until 3:15!!!!
We like the Dr but the timing is ridiculous and if we as patients were this late and unorganized we would be denied care and possibly even told to go to another location and dropped as a patient! It’s ridiculous!!

They will only see 2 of my children! I called to schedule an appointment for my 3 five year olds but was told they couldn't see them back to back that they could only see the 2 they've been seeing for 5 years and I'd have to take my other 5 year old on a different day. I live 2.5 hours from Colorado Springs and I explained that to Madison but she still told me it couldn't be done. My one son is autistic and needs to see an eye doctor and my other 2 have been seeing doctor Lee since they were weeks old. Very disappointed that they do not accommodate parents who have to travel to appointments

Been bringing my children here since infants. This place sure has went downhill beyond words. After numerous left messages, with no call back for weeks, I was on my way out of the door for good. Then, Lilly called me, apologized for everything that had been going on, and made sure to take care of our situation immediately. We will see how it goes from here on out. Disappointing because this used to be the BEST children’s eye center in the city. Thank you Lilly for taking the initiative to try and make things better for us.

Love this place and so glad Academy kids referred us here for my daughter. Dr. Lee is great. Staff is all very kind and professional. We love the cleanliness of the waiting room and of course the close location to home. been going here over 6 years now and hope to not leave for a while.

Update : may 2024. New staff new prices. Not kind or helpful. Weve stopped getting our glasses here their prices are unrealistic.
The ladies here are so kind! Their smiles are contagious. They always seem to go above and beyond for us. I bring my 3 kids here, one with cognitive delays. They give us plenty of options and we never feel rushed. They search for other stock, colors and sizing without me even knowing they could do that. My kids are hard on glasses, they never fret about helping us with a new pair or even reordering identical pairs over the phone. They have the flexible glasses and they hold up really well against my child's lifestyle. I recommend their bendable glasses to everyone ! We have used this company for years and even followed to a new location further away. They get our glasses back quick and we never have issues. Everywhere is short staffed now and will be for a while. Practice gratitude and patience anywhere you go. We're all humans and I believe fully that they're doing their best ! I highly recommend this office!

I find it APPALLING, absolutely outrageous that I have been calling for a month with absolutely no answer. Close your business because you obviously do not care about the safety or concerns of children’s eyes. How on earth can a medical facility refuse to answer the phone and have a full mailbox? You’re a joke.

I had an awful experience for the first time here when I started care for my other child. Billing almost denied us from our appointment at the time of the appointment without prior contact and we waited over 40 minutes from our appointment time. I was so upset and there was no care or accountability. Instead, I was perceived as the problem

I have been bringing my 5 year old, visually impaired, twins to Just For Kids Eye Center since they were just infants. We love Dr. Lee and all his fellow doctors. They have always been so kind, patient, and understanding.Since we see Dr. Lee we have always used Just For Kids Eyewear to get their glasses, to include thinning of the lenses due to such a strong prescription, transition lenses, and so on. The twins have ALWAYS needed the accommodations and have ALWAYS had their lenses sent off to a lab in order to get the right fit, as we don't have many options for glasses that will work with their visual impairments. They have always been thorough and have gone the extra mile to bill both primary and secondary insurances in a way that got my kids everything they needed. As of recently, there has been noticeable staff changes, and a drastic decline in the level of customer service being received from the employees of Just For Kids Eyewear. We have had two appointments within the past 6months that I left there feeling so defeated.Today I was in with my children, knowing they have a hard prescription to fill, I asked if they could help direct me to frames that would best suit the lenses they need, I was instantly met with one employee who immediately appeared like she didn't know what she was doing, followed by a second employee with whom the whole interaction was disrespectful start to finish. When she wasn't standing there with her arms crossed, she was speaking to me very rudely, pointing her pen at me, and kept dismissing all the questions I did have. She continuously told me she couldn't do something they have been doing for the past 5 years because they couldn't just write off the expenses of the lab we have been using for their lenses. I tried to ask for documentation of said "write offs" which they refused to give me.However, I am knowledgeable enough to know that if billed to BOTH insurances properly there would be no extra expenses. Her response to this was a list of everything they couldn't and wouldn't do to help us. At no point during this interaction did I feel heard or valued as a continued customer. There was no help and no alternative options that they were willing to explore with us.As much as we value and appreciate Dr. Lee and his fellow colleagues for the years of help with our eyeglass journey, we will not continue to get our glasses through Just For Kids Eyewear. All the new front desk employees at BOTH Just For Kids Eyewear and Just For Kids Eye Center, that are there to greet you for your appointments and help you pick out glasses are more than unprofessional in the conversations being had amongst each other, and absolutely disrespectful when you need any sort of help that requires them to quit scrolling Facebook on their phones, and actually do their jobs.

Would leave 0 stars if possible. With recent staffing changes, there has been a drastic decline in customer service. There are several inappropriate conversations being had in ear shot of customers, and you are instantly met with either somebody who doesn't know how to help OR you have a strong prescription and you are met with crossed arms, snide comments, and a refusal to bill insurance (primary & secondary) to accommodate the needs of the patient. Both employees I interacted with were very rude, and to top it off this isn't the first time I have had a difficult encounter with the exact same employees. I have been bringing my children here for 5+years and, as much as we love the eye center and their doctors, we will not continue to get our glasses through their Eyewear center.
