Was good for years but the last 3 years she has been hard to reach. Made an error on our taxes and responded at first, but have not been able to get a response for over a month. DO NOT RECOMMEND

We were recommended by a friend to use Melody for our 2019 tax preparation. When we went to file our taxes for the 2020 year, we found out that our 2019 returns had never been filed. In contacting Melody to figure out why, it was discovered that they rejected them due to a wrong social security number for one of our children, however, she failed to check on the return after filing. There was no way for us to know they had been rejected without either the IRS sending us a letter (they didn't), or her seeing it in her filing system and notifying us (she didn't). She then filed our 2019 taxes this year. We then received a letter on June 14th, 2020 from the IRS stating that we owed penalties and fees for our late filing. I contacted Melody on June 14th to see how she was going to help us with this via e-mail and have yet to get a response. I don't know about you, but we take anything to do with the IRS very seriously abd would hate for this to happen to anyone else.

She inputted the social security number wrong for my dependant which caused me to have to pay another firm to correct her mistake. She gave me attitude about payment. I payed her and she didn't do my taxes correct. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
