If I had known this was such an inept, non-caring institution I'd have NEVER requested this place when my mother, in an emergency situation. She's been treated roughly, unkindly by those who say they love their jobs. My sister & I live out-of-state and no one keeps in touch, we can't get ahold of them..period, no social/case worker, and no doctor giving a tinker's dam to even see her! She's been in pain and they don't do a thing, the doctor does nothing and treat me like I'm stupid of which I am not. 3 days..count them, three days I've been trying to get ahold of Crystal about my mother. Full inbox, no way to leave a message, try and get through to 3rd floor nurse's station with no one around..ever. They are unprofessional, uncaring (and I realize these old people can be a trial, especially my mother) but to hurt her?! She's had a nurse or CNA purposely bang my mother with her knee into her hip that was replaced causing her to collapse & put her into severe stress & pain. Now, shall we tall about the horrible food? This place got best facility 5 yrs in a row? How much did they pay for that?

My grandma spent a week here. It was supposed to be longer but we felt we needed to get her out bc she was getting terrible care. She was not getting the meds she needed, she was not eating bc they were bringing her food she was not able to eat (and not bringing her what she ordered) and the doctor was nowhere to be found. Her doc was Samuel Piedad. My grandmother and mother kept asking to speak with the doc- nothing. The nurse and social worker left notes for the doc to talk with them both- nothing. The doc would come in to the center and not respond to those requests. So we decided to get her out for her safety and health which is ridiculous for a center that's supposed to rehab ppl. Now that she's out, we are supposed to use him as a primary doc for meds until we can get an actual primary care doc but Piedad is refusing since she is no longer at the center. So we left this place bc of the terrible care but we are still being forced to use him until we can get a diff doc and he continues to let us down and have her suffer. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. My grandma was suffering so bad here and I would hate for anyone else to have a loved one have the same experience. Bc of covid no loved ones were able to visit, track down the doc and advocate for her. We were completely helpless.

I usually don't post reviews. Just because I might have had a bad experience doesn't mean the whole system is bad. However, I have been trying to get my mother out of there for 10 days. They are clueless regarding her needs. She has had a catheter for several years due to her inability to empty her bladder, which has resulted in several urinary tract infections, some requiring hospitalizations. Their solution is to keep her in Depends and tell me she is "incontinent." I found out their "physical therapy" amounted to 30 minutes 2 times a week for an 89 year old woman. That is pathetic. They want her to walk by herself unaided while she has used a walker for 3+ years. What I explain to them goes unheeded. Communication from them occurs only if I initiate it. My mother goes by her middle name, because her mother had the same first name. After letting them know that, they still call her the wrong name. Frankly, I see this as more of a function of money - the longer they keep her the more they make and if they keep her long enough, it amounts to $5000/month while in the meantime, we want her returned to her assisted living space that we also pay for because we didn't anticipate it would take this long to get her back on track.
