Building a new, larger deck does not sound like it would be a big deal but believe me it was! Our old, degraded deck was super small with straight stairs that blocked our views of the backyard. Our dream of a larger, spacious deck with relocated L shaped stairs was crushed when we learned about all the building code ordinances and limitations.Thankfully, we found Decks by Schmillen. We are thrilled with our new composite decks built by Doug, Keith and the crew! Decks by Schmillen stands out as THE BEST with their quality workmanship, professionalism, and commitment. They all worked so hard to make sure every phase of the project was done to our satisfaction. They are very knowledgeable and willing to provide help when we were making our decisions from materials, colors, lighting, etc. We could totally trust Keith and the workers even when we were away on vacation. Decks by Schmillen did an extraordinary job removing our old, unsafe deck and putting in a beautiful, upgraded, and rock solid one. The workmanship and materials are outstanding. Doug helped us work through weeks of decision making. His patience and attitude made all the difference! Keith and the workers were respectful, professional and helpful at every turn.
