Dr. DeTora and team are nothing short of fantastic. I am super grateful for this facility and the people in it! Everyone there handled my Atlas’ care in the best way possible and I know he is loved and deeply cared for under their watch. Atlas needed a double MPL. It’s not often cats need this type of knee surgery, but if yours does… I highly recommend them to do the job.

I liked how the consult for surgery was thorough and I was given time to ask questions and weigh options for my pup. On the day of surgery, the communication was great and I felt that they thoroughly covered all post op instructions. I felt that my dog was cared for during surgery and they did a follow up call two days after to check in on him. The price was high for the surgery, but I feel that the work done was worth it for our boy to eventually be able to play ball and do all of the things he loves again with no restrictions.

This was a recommendation from Dr Sunderman at Briargate VCA, Colorado Springs, and we were very satisfied with the examination and information Dr DeTora provided for our dog, Sasha. He took the time to thoroughly and patiently walk us through Sasha’s diagnosis, prognosis and various options. We didn’t feel rushed through the process as is often the case with heavily booked medical centers. Also, both the consultation itself and the estimates for surgery were within reason and without pressure. We left the center armed with all the necessary information required to make an informed decision about Sasha’s future treatment.

We Love Dr Detora! Dixie is 11 years old. Suffered from two partial ACL tears on both knees for a few years. I just didn’t feel comfortable with other surgeons during consultations. Dr Detora did a telemed session to hear me out and understand her history then saw her in person. He’s just so precise. He could feel the knees weren’t fully torn. He did an arthoscopy and gave me pictures which I appreciated. I don’t like the idea of anyone performing surgery on Dixie without knowing what’s going on under the surface. He did the TPLO surgery so quickly which again very appreciated because it was less time under anesthesia. Dixie fully recovered in one week after surgery and started rehab sessions ten days after being released. He saved her life. She couldn’t even get up from lying down by the time we found CCO. Now Dixie can live a fuller and longer life!!

Anytime your pet needs serious medical attention it can be very stressful. Everyone was very caring and helpful every step of the way from May at the front desk to our surgeon Dr. DeTora. Dr. DeTora clearly explained the nature of our dogs injury and what he would be doing to correct it. After the surgery May carefully explained all we would need to do during the recovery process. From our initial contact with the hospital we felt our dog Reesie was in excellent hands enabling us to be confident in the outcome.

Dr. Iodence was superb. My dog had been limping for several weeks but wasn't improving. Dr. Iodence diagnosed soft tissue as very likely, saved me the cost of x-rays, prescribed nsaid and a strict 6-week motion-restricting regime, with ultrasound option later if not resolved. I can already see improvement in my dog in less than a week, and am thrilled!

Glad to get my dogs surgery done and the Dr was really nice there but not happy that their scale said my dog gained 7 lbs from her first appointment 8 days earlier to her surgery and then I got charged another $117 for 8 lbs and when I asked them about it they couldn't give me an explanation on how the scale was that off. And she's a smaller dog, definitely would notice if she gained 7 lbs.
