Beware: Urbanity has a LOUD, negative and hyper-opinionated beauty salon owner. I went there for years because I was following my hairdresser (Brette) and was always uncomfortable in her chair, because the owner (Teresa) is very argumentative and confrontational. Weird, because it's Aurora, a very diverse city, but I hated being around the owner - she has strong opinions, and lets everyone know it. My stylist Brette has moved on to a new location, so thankfully I don't have to sit there and be exposed to a one-woman FOXNews. Would not recommend Urbanity if you are a WOC or you embrace diversity and tolerance. Read the low-rating reviews; they are correct.

I got my hair done here for prom and I loved it! It was the average price $60, and I tipped $10. The lady, I'm sorry I didn't catch her name, was very kind and did a great job! The lady had a Eastern European accent, and was amazing! The entire vibe of the salon was really nice, and I felt comfortable.
