Timber & Lawn

I have been going to Darren at Timber and Lawn for years, My father for decades for his chain saws. Darren laughs at my small electric lawn mower but gladly sharpens the small blades on the spot for me. Always with a shy smile. He appears to be a one man operation. Give him some slack on timing and when he is in the shop. If he has to go out and get parts, he will return. He is a wizard at small engine repair such as lawnmowers and chainsaws! Love this personality and cluttered shop. He knows where everything is! His pups are cuties also.

I went to Timber and Lawn for a small and very important screw for my Stihl chainsaw. The owner, Darren spent at least 15 minutes looking through his spare box to come up with just the right part and then installed rendering my saw safe and ready for service. Then he looked at me and said “two dollars and fifty cents.” It felt like 1960 something, the kind service, a big difference, and a small price!On the way to the cash register, I found a pair of chainsaw chaps, made the bigger purchase and a great deal on an ounce of prevention, worth far more than a pound of cure!Go see Darren at Timber and Lawn, and stay safe out there,

Great place for firewood! I got a cord of about 90% pine, 10% aspen, cut and split. Most logs seemed seasoned relatively well. The length was variable, but all under 18" - most was 14"-16". Very inexpensive delivery - dropped as a pile - you will need to stack.The owner is quite a character, but also quite honest. I tried to give him a little more $ than we agreed on as a tip, and he wouldn't take it. He also told me that, once I stacked the wood, if I discovered that I didn't have a full cord, to be sure and let him know.A few small things to note: Cash is expected for payment for firewood.
