About Colorado Conservatory of Dance
Colorado Conservatory of Dance is a non-profit dance school founded in 1992 that offers a variety of dance classes for all ages and levels. The school is committed to providing students with a rigorous and inspiring dance education to help them reach their full potential. Under the new lead, Sandra Parks, since 2023, the school has been praised as phenomenal and progressive. The focus is on performances and stage presence rather than competitive dance, with some productions being of collegiate-level quality. The school fosters a supportive community with "love, laughter, nuttiness and grit" among the families. The faculty are invested, creative, and committed to the young dancers. The school has also been recognized for its inclusive approach, offering opportunities for sensory-sensitive children to enjoy performances like the Nutcracker. Parents appreciate the excellent ballet training and the school's care for the dancers' well-being and individual development.
