Awesome space and equipment for woodworking, metalworking, electronics, ceramics and more. The vibes are very friendly and welcoming. I started my business using equipment here and have met a ton of cool people through the space. Can get a little crowded sometimes - check the calendar!
A quirky makerspace that (at the time, maybe still) is the only such space in Boulder (rent is expensive here, after all). It could use some stuff, but then there wouldn't be any place to put it! Good, helpful folks, and if you need the tools they have, you can get your thing done.
Having been a continuous member for more than 9 months, I feel I can give a fair view of the place.
First of all, this is the embodiment of a 'Hackerspace', the rules that are in place are common sense, in the interests of safety, and to ensure a good time for all members.
The facilities are not quite top of the line, but they are in fact more than adequate, with many high end machines! Especially in Boulder, and for the price that they're asking, you definitely get your money's worth.
I've been using the table saw, have been taught how to use the ShopBot 8x4 foot CNC machine, and intend to soon be learning some of the metal working equipment.
