I've been going to George (the owner) for over 20 years. Professional and efficient. Not a styling studio. More of an old fashion barber shop. Comfortable without the barber-pole. (George has some wonderful tales and is a good storyteller with an appreciation of Gunbarrel History).CALL AHEAD and make an appointment. George and Candy (it's only the two of them)are usually booked out a week in advance so walk-ins are not advised. Appointments are usually in 30 min. blocks. All of that being said...I think you'll love your cut. I did.

I usually trim my own hair with the fear that no one could do exactly what I wanted. I went in with an idea that I've tried at many different places but never really turned out right. Showed Stacie exactly what I was after and she made it happen! Finally got the hair cut that I never thought I could 'pull-off'. Stacie showed me how to apply the sculpting clay in my hair and make it look 'just right' every time. Had wonderful conversations with all of them and never any issues. I was always used to paying $25 for a hair cut at lesser barbers. I am now more than happy to pay the $40-$45 for a professional to get exactly what I want. I stopped in on a Friday morning and made an appointment to come back that afternoon. Kristin took me promptly upon my return, and she did a fantastic job. My hair grows in pretty much every direction simultaneously, but she wasn't stymied one bit and had lots of helpful suggestions about style options. The end result was exactly what I was hoping for, and the whole wash and cut took a mere half an hour. Kristin knows her craft well, and I'll definitely be returning soon. *Just as a note, they don't take credit cards, so bring cash or check.
