Ann Cooper has been our family broker for nearly 20 years. She has successfully sold two of our homes, one in a Boulder and one in Denver. She also did an incredible job with getting us into my current home (which I still love in Denver) 16 years ago and, most recently, supporting my son with buying his first home in Denver. She is not only a 5 Star broker but a loving and giving friend. You can't go wrong with Ann!
These days resources for home buying abound. You can accomplish a lot on your own with diligent searching. Still, moving from out-of-state in 2011, we relied on her guidance to consider neighborhoods we hadn't heard of and in listings that weren't yet publicly available. Ultimately, we bought a home that we spotted online by ourselves. And yet her services were still valuable. Her focus shifted to helping us negotiate and navigate the purchase -- thinking creatively and beyond price (though certainly, she was savvy about price) -- to ensure a smooth and efficient closing. And then sharing her vast network of painters, interior decorators, handy men to get it just right for move in. In other words, she provided much more than help with the transactional components of buying a house. She took us from the pre-sale to move-in and even offered some suggestions for settling into our life in Boulder given her active engagement in the community. These days it might be that nobody buys on their own, everyone finds a realtor. What separates Ann from other realtors is her ability to listen and willingness to keep us on track to fulfill our original goals. The pursuit can take on a life of its own, and Ann kept reminding us of what we cared about. Sometimes she even did so against self-interest, as when a home inspection unearthed problems that could be managed though with more work than we had time for and again when we felt torn between an beautiful, more-than-we-need house at the upper limit of our price range and another that fit more comfortably and still met all of our needs. Ann advised us to do what was best for us, even if it meant a smaller sale for her and a more complicated closing, because her measure of success included our sense of achieving our goals.
I would not buy or sell using anyone other than Ann Cooper as my agent. Ann really listens — and hears — what you need. She ALWAYS has your best interest at heart. Because of her patience and expertise, she takes the stress out of what might otherwise be a stressful process. I always know I am in good hands with her because she is so honest and forthright. I don’t think I have ever met anyone who works so hard for her clients. She is incredibly insightful about the market and how to get the most bang for your buck. Her advice is always spot-on and I trust her completely. She is tenacious, determined, professional — tough when she needs to be when closing a deal, yet a complete sweetheart. I love that she is so involved with the community; not only is she a great agent, she is a good person. We met when she helped me buy a house in Boulder (long-distance, no less!) and I now consider her a friend.
