I’ve been coming to Al’s since I was a freshman at CU (think my first cut was Oct. 1995), back when Al’s replaced Jack’s, Alan had blonde hair and was the lone employee. I moved away from Boulder in 2002, but still try to get an appointment with Al when I’m in BCO for work or family. It’s been nothing but great work from a great guy, so yes… Highly recommend.

I have been getting my haircut at Al’s since I first moved to Denver in 2022. I first heard of the shop from my old barber in Charlotte, NC who knew how much I cared about a quality haircut. Coming from Italy, I would stress over finding the right barber as there are some out there with minimal training. Al and his team blew me away. I started as a loyal customer because of the quality and care in their haircuts, but I started referring friends truly because of the experience. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and professional, and I genuinely look forward to my haircuts!
Thank you, Al! Nice, chill barber shop in Boulder and the first time we've been there, but definitely not the last. I made some mistakes with my partner's haircut, right before a business trip AND on his 61st birthday! We walked into Al's, coming from Rollinsville, and Al was great. We waited for a very brief period until he had an opening today and what a great experience. Al's Barber Shop is wonderful and we highly recommend.
