I have a mass that is clearly larger than 2 cm. and he just kept saying it was smaller than 2 cm. I talked to my friend who is a Dr. in New York and the fact that they aren't worried about possible lung cancer due to my history of smoking and my mom having been diagnosed with lung cancer as a non smoker. I had a hardened lymphnode and he just sent me to an ultrasound for the lymphnode without bloodwork or a CT scan. Shows how little they were actually listening to my symptoms. They told me I could go down and ask the lab on site if they had any availabilities for an ultra sound that day. They did but would not let me have one or even schedule one until I waited 24-48 hours unless it was ordered as "stat". If I do have cancer, what a joke, If I don't, what a joke. Does the PA not know your own procedures and at what point do I get to see a real doctor. He tried to calm my fears by telling me how big all the other masses he has dealt with are when he was an assistant to a surgeon. I am not surprised the masses they worked on are so big as the wait time is so long to get any diagnoses (3 months and counting) that I'm sure mine will be that big by the time I'm seen again. My dog had cancer and VEG the emergency vet clinic handled that situation kinder, faster and more seriously. Maybe I will just go to the Vet. to figure out whats wrong with me.
Staff has attitudes - long wait outside and inside the doctor's office.... not what one expects after driving a long way in miserable traffic for the most. Appointment consist of: taking hours of notes but spending only a couple of minutes to answer questions and address patient's concerns. Then, you are hazzled to return for follow up appts. I guess I got spoiled with California's medical service that was far more focus on HELPING the patient and trying to understand their concerns which are NOT always TAKE PILLS!
Absolute disaster as far as prompt patient care, attention to detail and bedside manner. Incompetence abounds. My sister is in this place. I went down to the nursing station and personally asked if she could get some medication for nausea. over an hour elapsed and then they appeared to do another ultrasound. At this point my sister had to ASK THEM AGAIN for nausea medication. She would not have gotten it otherwise. yesterday she was admitted to the ER and placed in a hard wheelchair they made us leave the room and she was just sitting there frightened for six hours before they even got her into a bed, ignoring her all the while. information is not passed on properly from one shift to the next. It's almost like they want to give bad care . This place is like a two tailed beast with no head at all . staff don't seem to know what they're doing and give conflicting diagnosis almost every time. last night in the ER ICU was no different. I went to the nurses station to request a nurse for my sister and nothing happened for a good 20 minutes. It was then that my wife went to the nursing station and they told her they would bring a nurse and she said fine I'll stand right here until you bring one to me then and only then did they bring a nurse for her. Right now the alarm on her IV monitor keeps going off every two minutes. I'm not kidding, it goes off every two minutes. All they do is come in and tell her that she has not keeping her arms straight. i've been watching her like a hawk and she's not moving her arm at all so, clearly, that's not the problem. I guess it's always the patient's fault for their incompetence and poor medical care. Uugh. A different attendant is standing here right now and telling her she must keep her arm straight. She is going to be in here for the next few days at least with this confederacy of dunces. It occurs to me that even a veterinary clinic would have been a better choice for medical care. They should have the ability on this website to register "negative star" ratings ." CU/Anschutz's motto should be "We Are The Snakes on The Caduceus." P.S. Having said all that. Dr. Demolie and Dr. Enix are AMAZING and SUPERB!! The only shining lights. They both get 5 STARS.
