Ignore all the 5 star reviews, they’re literally paying people for 5 star reviews. I can’t call this place without getting put on hold, no matter the time of day. The recording they have on their hold music is still talking about the holiday hours from last year and tips about not giving Thanksgiving food to your dogs 🤦‍♀️ this is a perfect representation of this place, unorganized and just not with it as far as what’s going on. They are so slow. You book a routine appointment first thing in the morning, you’ll be there for an hour and a half to two hours. They love making you pay for bloodwork on every thing. They are expensive.

We’ve always had a good experience here with our dog. Vets are really nice and informative and my dog seems to like coming here. Prices are fair. I plan to take my kitten here as well when he needs to go in next.

The best vet we have ever seen! Our dog wants to leave as soon as she gets in the door but the folks at Tall Grass win her confidence.

I’ve been taking my dog Finn to Tall Grass Animal Hospital for the past two years and they always take such great care of him. He’s scared of going to the vet and they are very patient and kind to him (: will keep continuing to come here!

I used to really like this practice. However, since Dr Fordham and Dr Frint left, it has not been the same. My dog had an infected anal gland. And while they did give her the proper medicine and she is healed, I didn’t feel they cared about her at all. At our annual visit, I felt the selling of preventative services was more important than learning about my pets lifestyle and finding out what they actually needed. And during her exam for the anal gland issue, the Dr mentioned her weight first thing when she walked in the room. She didn’t address the issue we were there for, didn’t take a moment to find out how my dog was doing, just went right into the lecture about getting 1 or 2 pounds off her and wanting me to put her on a very strict RX diet. My terrier does need to lose 1 or 2 pounds, she is not obese! We are talking 1-2 pounds. She is active, I take her for walks, she plays and runs around with her sister. I wouldn’t have minded talking about this had her anal gland issue been addressed first. I was so disappointed with the lack of compassion she received. None of the staff made any effort to pet her or get to know her. She’s a dog and you work in a vet clinic. You can’t take a second and pet a dog before you try and examine her? I feel the practice is all about money and no longer about caring for animals. Dr. Frint used to come in and sit on the floor with my girls and pet them while we talked about what was going on with their health.

It pains me to write this review as I have been going to Tallgrass since 2019 and Dr. Fordham and Dr. Ward were awesome vets! But since the practice has been sold it is not the same care.

Both of my cats needed treatment and it was the most horrible experience I ever had at a vets.

1st my one cat was given no help after the vet appointment and after calling the office and emailing the vet Dr. McAnnally there was no reply, when I brought to attention this and the cat was still sick, I was not given an apology just attitude and rudeness.

But the worst was my other cat who needed a few teeth pulled. He has had teeth pulled in the past and Dr. Ward did an amazing job and fast recovery both times.

Not this time. Dr. Ma had given my cat around 4 different pain meds/shots and anti vomit medication and the worst was a strong opioid! I checked his records and he was not given these before when he had teeth removed. He was so high and running around and climbing walls for over 30 hours he looked like his was gonna explode. He dose not do well with heavy pain meds and no one asked me anything before giving him all these meds and he is a weak senior and it all made him so sick I was scared he was gonna die from it all and it felt like he was given all this to make money. I feel the work done on him was sloppy as well, it took him a month to stop being in pain and a couple months before he started to act like himself. It was such a scary and terrible experience.

They also misdiagnosed my mom's cat as well and she too is going elsewhere.

I have since taken my cats elsewhere and would never come back here.
