WATCH OUT!! Go somewhere else! There are other urgent care facilities within a short distance from this place. YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF. I went to this facility on 6/7/23 for what turned out to be a torn meniscus. I barely made it into the reception area. (Wasn't offered a wheelchair until I couldn't walk through the door to the exam room.) I was greeted by the receptionist who first wanted my credit card to charge $145 for the office call. She took my insurance card and said they'd bill me if there was any difference. I was seen and referred for a MRI and Ultrasound at West Hills Medical Center. The problem is with their billing system. They attempted to send the office visit fee for the 6/7 visit to my insurance company but when the insurance company asked for additional information or a correct procedure code, they instead send another bill for a 2 minute phone call when the doctor called with the MRI results. The first claim was denied by insurance because they didn't respond to what the insurance company asked for. Instead they changed the date of service to 6/8. Insurance company says the procedure code was incorrect and asked that it be fixed. Again, instead of following through with that request, they send another claim for a office visit on 6/12. They were paid the agreed amount by my insurance company leaving a copay of $76.73. Note I had already paid them $145 at the time I went there. I sent a letter when I received a bill for the balance of the third claim six months later. I provided them with all the documentation from my actual visit and the EOBs. I was only at their facility on 6/7 not any of the 3 other dates they attempted to bill my insurance company. That according to my EOB, they actually owed me $68.27 from my 6/7 visit. They threatened collection agency so I called them today. The billing person said that I told them on 6/7 not to go through my insurance company that I would rather pay a full cost instead. Right?! The billing person said the visit charged on 6/12 was for the 2 minute phone call the doctor called me with the MRI results saying I needed to see someone else. (She called it a Tele doctor fee) Coincidently, that balance due was after they submitted a claim to my insurance company! I asked the billing person if she received my letter and supporting document. She said yes but she was looking on my insurance portal instead. The different dates were because their billing person worked from home and just made a mistake. I argued back and said I shouldn't owe anything. She said to call back after I calmed down then hung up. (I only wish I was belligerent as she accused me of being instead of factual.) I mailed them a check for the $76.73 today. They obviously need the money to keep their cheating business and employees who are liars in business. Go to Carbon Health Urgent Care or Woodland Hills Urgent Care or Exer Urgent Care, or Kaiser or West Hills or any of the other 8 other urgent care facilities within that same area!!
The doctors don't care about patients at this clinic. I called the clinic for a prescription refill. CVS informed me that the office had not responded to numerous requests for a prescription for my heart medication that I had been taking for 32 years. The doctor refused to get on the phone to speak to me. Instead he told the technician or student to tell me that he will not renew my medication unless I come into the office for a visit. I informed the technician that I was already out of state and will not return until after the new year. I need enough to get me by and I will be in the office for the visit when I return. I was told to go to an urgent care facility in the state I'm in and have them fax proof of an office visit in order for them to renew my prescription in the clinic in California. This does not make any sense to me. So, the doctor would rather not write a prescription for a medication that I need , not even in a limited amount to keep me from experiencing severe rebound symptoms simply because I guess making a few dollars is more important than my health. Additionally, he didn't have the guts to get on the phone to tell me that nonsense himself so that I would have had the opportunity to ask him what was the basis for his decision. Office visits are only required once a year not every 6 months, but as I said before, they just don't care about anyone's health. Thanks a lot doctor!!
