Not a good doc imo. The guy will lead you down a road of addiction and then take the cowards route of excuse after excuse. Find someone compassionate.

My wife and I are seeing Dr Kurtz for about 7 years. We have found him to be very easy to talk to and exchange our medical information without hesitation. He is by far the best doctor we have seen and experienced. Very friendly, thoughtful and provides solutions to our medical issues. Thank you so much Dr. Kurtz for all the advise you provide with excellent care and service.

We’ve had such a great experience with Dr.Kurtz and his entire office. The staff is always kind, helpful, and attentive, and the office runs smoothly. Dr Kurtz is patient, thorough, and truly takes the time to answer questions and explain everything in a way that’s easy to understand. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. I’m so thankful to have found a doctor we trust and feel comfortable with. Highly recommend!

Dr Kurtz is the most thorough doctor I know. He has old school bedside manner mixed with new and innovative medical techniques. My whole family uses him.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Dr. Allan Kurtz and his office was so careless and unprofessional that I feel obligated to warn others.
I specifically declined a certain blood test, yet the office went ahead and performed it anyway — without consent, without explanation, and without confirming what we actually requested. The results we received were for the wrong test, not the one we needed. When I reached out by email asking why the correct test wasn’t done, I didn’t get any real response at all. Instead, they kept sending me the same attachment of the unrequested blood work over and over, as if repeating the wrong test would somehow solve the problem.
What made this even more concerning was that Dr. Kurtz told us “everything was okay” — even though the correct test was never performed and wasn’t in our file. He gave reassurance without having the right results in front of him.
We paid cash, and even though the office ran a test we never authorized, they still refused to issue a refund. No accountability, no explanation, and no effort to fix their error.
A medical office should be accurate, transparent, and responsible. This one was the opposite. If you want a doctor who listens and actually reviews the correct results, look elsewhere. I wish someone had warned me.

Dr. Kurtz has been my primary care physician for over two decades, closer to three. He has always treated me and my family with respect and care. [For example, when I brought my 98-year-old grandmother to see him after moving her across the country to here, he treated her like his family. He did everything, blood pressure, blood tests, everything, himself.] Over the years, every specialist he has referred me to has been top notch, just like he is. He truly listens to me and never dismisses any of my concerns. He is never rude or condescending and always takes whatever time is needed to address the problem. Whenever Dr. Kurtz has run behind, he has been genuinely apologetic, and his staff has been so as well. I am grateful to have Dr. Kurtz as my doctor.

Horrible customer service! I placed a $300 prescription order last Thursday (after waiting an HOUR and 15 mins for Dr. Kurtz to arrive). I received no information except for the $300 charge on my credit card. I called the office this morning and spoke with Cynthia and Edna who kept talking over me and were extremely rude only to find out that they charge my credit card, but totally FORGOT to place the order for my prescription. No apologies…..Just an “oops our bad” we will place it now. I asked Edna several times not to talk over me and she continued to do so. After being transferred back to Cynthia who then hung up on me after I asked a question. Not sure why Dr. Allan can’t seem to get good reliable help and customer service. When someone pays $300 for a prescription so they can get it they expect to receive it and not be treated extremely disrespectful when inquiring about it. My appointment was at 11:15 and the doctor did not walk in until 12:30 PM. I truly believe the front desk forgot about me.

I have been with Dr. Kurtz from Day 1 of his practice and I know I could never find a more caring and professional doctor in my entire life time. He was so good to my mom before she passed and now he is so good to me also. I trust him! I couldn't be happier knowing I have peace of mind with this truly amazing man! Dr. Kurtz is the best! He truly cares about his patients more than any doctor I've ever seen! God Bless Him!

Dr. Alan Kurtz had been my doctor for over 20 years.. he is the most reliable, caring man that actually listens and follows up with a phone call to see how you are doing .. Yes sometimes you have to wait.. but who doesn’t in a doctors office.. he takes time to see you as a patient not a $$$ sign like most doctors do.. I’ll continue to see him him until my last breathe in me. You go Dr. Kurtz!!

This is the worst doctor ever experienced. I am a copd/ipf patient and this doctor had no idea how to treat symptoms or conduct proper evaluation diagnoses while I was having a serious ongoing occurrences. This led to me going to emergency at serval urgent care center and to northridge emergency which identified Ls sclc a very aggressive cancer of the lung. This is something any qualified internal medicine PCP educated provider would have identified this as a possibly been in play and taken appropriate diagnosis evaluation. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone seeking medical care.
As a side note his staff are the most unprofessional for customer patient service with very arrogant attitudes towards patients and disrespectful when being asked questions. I f I was managing the ones encountered I would clean house and start from beginning. This was such a terrible experience that may have caused delays in treatment for sclc as well as contributing to life cycle. I don’t feel they even deserve a 1 star.
