    I bought a 4 gallon box of massage oil and I noticed a strong kerosene smell, not just a little smell, but a strong smell. They asked me to pay for the return and they would need to authenticate it before they would refund me. Not recommended! Very disappointed!

    When you visit TOA Spa Supply, located at 2498 Peck Rd, Whittier, CA it has the appearance of being a well put together business. The manager (or owner?) ROBERT talks a good talk. However, once they have your money it's a different story, it is a struggle to get them to help you when you have a return. I purchased two Towel warmer boxes, the ones Robert recommended I buy. He assured me I would never have trouble with returning anything there if it was defective. Within a month one of the two towel warmers, one of them was barely heating up our towels. I didn't have any need to drive to LA for supplies, so I put it aside and used the one we previously had. A few weeks later I brought the towel warmer box back to TOA and expected to have a smooth exchange for a non-faulty one. The woman at the front office (when you walk in) looked up my account and immediately tried telling me it was past the 90 day warranty (which was never disclosed when they took my money). I demanded to see Robert. When he came downstairs, after a bit of reluctance, he tested the towel warmer and agreed it was not heating properly. So, Robert exchanged it and gave me a new one (one from "their new batch" he said that just received that looked slightly different than the first two I bought). I then took the new towel warmer to my massage business and within perhaps an hour my employees were telling me it smelled like it was burning. So, I unplugged it and looked inside and noticed the inside gasket that seals in the moisture had melted (see photo). This was deeply concerning as it could have possibly caused a fire (for anything to melt it must have been extremely hot). When we felt the towels that we had put inside, they too were too hot to touch. So, out of 3 hot towel (towel warmers) 2 of the 3 were faulty. I knew better than to wait, so I immediately that day same day called and left a message. I RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. I called again a few days later... again, I RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. After that weekend I was frustrated and left a very strong message on the TOA voice mail letting them know I was going to report this online. Of course then the woman at the front office calls me right back (SMH). I guess she screens their messages. The woman said Robert is out now, but to send him an email. SO I DID. I sent Robert an email on March 24th, NO RESPONSE BACK. I sent him another email yesterday April 2nd, STILL NO RESPONSE BACK from Robert. It is funny to me watching shady places like this trip over nickels on their way to dollars. I understand they do not manufacture these items, but they are selling them to massage business and the public and they need to honor the products they sell.. especially when they stamp their business name on the front of them! TOA SUPPLY is stamped on the front of 3 towel warmers and 2 of them didn't work. One didn't heat properly and the other could have started a fire I believe had my employees not told me about the burning smell. Needless to say they can keep the measly $90 for this garbage, but because of the way they have blown me off, they will never get another dollar from me, and my business spends THOU$ANDS on supplies each year (over $10k last year). And no, I will not let them "buy me off" to take this down. If TOA is going to sell garbage, then treat people like garbage, then the world deserves to know the truth.
