I got my hair dry styled by Stephanie at the Westlake Location. She did an amazing job and I loved the curls. I asked for tight curls because I would need the style to last a couple hours until my event and they were perfectly loose by the start of the night.

Not a thorough hair wash, asked for cosmo curls, got wavy curls, this is 3 hours later. I’ve been going to Drybar Westlake since 2016, almost since it opened. Different stylists, most excellent, some not so much. It was awesome when Ali Webb owned it, sometimes corporate taking over just degrades the whole franchise business. I’m still a member & will continue to go there & hope I get one of the excellent stylist like I’ve had before!

I had an 8:00 AM appointment but wasn’t seated until 8:15 AM. While I didn’t mind the short wait, it could’ve been an issue if I had somewhere to be afterward—especially since the booking states that dry styling should take 20 minutes or less.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t happy with the final result. My waves looked really flat, with only the mid-lengths curled and the ends left straight. It didn’t even look like I had anything done, and the style didn’t hold. I also wasn’t a fan of how my front pieces—my curtain bangs—were curled. I usually prefer them styled away from my face, but the way they were done just made them fall forward.
My stylist wasn’t rude, but she was very quiet. As someone who’s naturally bubbly and enjoys chatting during appointments, I was hoping for a little more engagement—especially since it was my first time here. I understand it was early, but it felt a bit awkward considering the other stylists were having lively conversations with their clients. A little conversation would’ve made the experience feel more welcoming.
Lastly, while the stylist wasn’t unprofessional, she did seem a bit stressed and not as put-together as the rest of the team. She wore bright socks, low shoes, and an oversized hoodie, which stood out since the other stylists looked much more polished. Presentation matters, especially in a salon setting.

I had a really bad cold where I had congestion lost taste couching really bad and was not able to make it to my appointment they would not understand or give me my credits back. Very sad and disappointed

does depend on the stylist - I have great and not very good blow drys here at this location. After about six months I canceled my membership- I believe all stylists should be able to execute at btw minimum the blow drys displayed and offered in the look book. I will say when I had long hair I had better experiences but once I cut it shoulder height, some stylists were unable to execute even the most basic styles.

What happened to Drybar? I loved coming to Drybar when it was about $15 cheaper. The allure of it has gone away and not just the increase in price. You used to be greeted by a friendly receptionist who offered to make you a coffee or grab you a mimosa. Now you come in to often a desk with no one there and when the person shows there is no offerings. The hairstylist seem fine- but the last 2 times I have come to drybar- my hair doesn’t last but an hour afterwards….bummer for the cost. I just want to the magic back- it used to be packed and always a fun rom-com on the tvs. Now the tvs only half work and appears like a ghost town with the number of chairs open. Bring back what makes Drybar unique and improve the customer service- friendliness goes a long way.

Got a blowout with Maria and she was phenomenal! Super sweet, looked at the style I wanted, and gave me exactly what I had envisioned. Will definitely be back.

The team was great, as was the location. Unfortunately I got my hair curled and explained to the stylist that my event was not for a couple hours. She reassured me she’d do tight curls so they can fall out a bit but would hold up. By the time the event started my hair was straight.
I would not spend the money to have someone else curl my hair if the style isn’t going to stay when I can make my own curls stay longer. Very disappointed.
