- did not have my record on file- store says they open at 10:00 am waited for 15 min outside- couldn’t wait for me to check my subscription and felt like she was annoyed when I was trying to order contactsClearly see why the rating is 3.8
I've been a patient of Dr. Fisher for years and wouldn't go anywhere else. She and the entire team at Specs Appeal are helpful and knowledgeable and great to work with. The exams with Dr. Fisher are so pleasant and informative, and she takes her time to explain and discuss her findings during my exam. I have bought frames at Specs Appeal and have had them put new lenses in my existing frames, and the results are always excellent. I recommend them highly.
I was scheduled for an eye exam today, but after interacting with John, the manager, I took my business elsewhere. Two weeks ago I stopped in to make an appointment for an eye exam. I've lived around the corner for 20 years and I always like to support the local businesses in my neighborhood and this one was covered by my insurance. The associate behind the counter was very pleasant and she set up my appointment. I tried on a few pairs of eye glasses and found two that I liked from Prada. This is the first time I've ever had to get eye glasses so I am not familiar with the process and was a little overwhelmed. A few days later, I decided to go back, but this time without my dogs who were with me the first time, so that I could focus and write down the style numbers for the glasses that I was interested in because I have horrible memory loss issues and wanted to have them ready when I came in for the eye exam. Well, during my second visit John, the manager, appears from the back and starts berating me for writing down information from the styles. He said I wasn't allowed to write anything down or take pictures. I don't think I have ever experienced such rudeness from someone in customer service before. For someone who wasn't the doctor or the owner of the business to speak to me like that was unacceptable. I asked him if he even wanted my business because I already had an appointment for an eye exam scheduled and he asked if I wanted to CANCEL IT! Well, I was so furious that I went down the street to Mark Chung O.D. at 8205 Santa Monica #15 and they happily scheduled an exam for me and showed me their selection of eye glasses. I cancelled my appointment with Specs as John had suggested. I was so confused as to why he was so aggressive with me writing information down. So I looked up one of the styles online. The same Prada's I planned on purchasing from Specs appeal for $365 is actually available for $150 online. . NO WONDER he didn't want me writing anything down. They don't want you to find out they're ripping you off with over 100% markup! NEVER AGAIN. And apparently there are more reviews on yelp about them ripping people off.
