Houston is kind and so talented. He has a gifted hand for hair cuts. He listens to you and also gives you great advice when you are unsure. He is honest and patient and really lovely. His salon is cozy and clean and very comfortable, an amazing location too.

This review is long overdue - If you are looking for an incredible stylist in LA, you have found one in Houston! I have never loved my hair so much as when Houston works his magic on it. I am super picky when it comes to my hair and read countless reviews before scheduling with him, and I am so very glad I chose him. Houston is warm, vibrant, and super knowledgeable when it comes to working with your face shape and color scheme to create the most flattering colors and styles. He is the first person I have trusted to update my balayage after I wasn't thrilled with the way previous highlights panned out and he knocked it out of the park! I also so appreciate him for being resonable and sensible in not making my hair too high maintenance. Houston also does an incredible job of suggesting what would look great, and last fall he said (and I quote) "Today we are going to make your hair like a pumpkin spice latte" as well as at a later appointment "I want it to look like someone has cracked open a decadent snickers bar and the caramel is just melting into the chocolate," AND HE DELIVERED. Um.... SOLD. Since he has been in charge I have gotten so many compliments from strangers in LA - a total win! Not to mention it woud be a pleasure to spend all day in his chair, as he is such a lovely human being and we have the most wonderful conversations. I could go on for an eternity about how amazing he is - Thank you Houston!!

I've been going to Houston for 5+ years and counting. He's seamlessly covered up old ombre for me (I seriously couldn't tell where my natural color ended and the dyed parts began!), guided me through bangs (fixed them after I cut them myself in a moment of weakness), growing out my hair, bobs, lobs, and growing out (again). He is so talented, and he's such a great person, it's always a pleasure to see him! Whether I've had a clear vision for what I want done, or just a sort of change, I have always been incredibly happy walking out of Houston's salon. He meets you with enthusiasm and positivity, and will offer great advice if you're stuck on what you'd like to do. If you're thinking about seeing Houston, stop debating and book your appointment already! He offers a free consultation so you can meet him first and discuss your hair goals. (There's free parking w validation, too.) You won't be disappointed. You're in great hands with Houston.
