I've been going to The Barber Surgeon in West Hollywood for a while now, and I have to say, they've completely transformed my hair. I was feeling pretty insecure about it as I approach 40--honestly, being a self-conscious, narcissistic gay man, my hair is everything to me! The PRP treatments and scalp treatments they offer have made a noticeable difference. My hair is about 60% fuller now, and I couldn't be happier with the results. What's even better is that I no longer have to take Propecia or Viviscal thanks to their daily hair pills. These pills have helped maintain my results and keep my hair strong without the hassle of those other products. I highly recommend them to my clients because they're not only experts in hair restoration but also genuinely care about making you feel confident. If you're worried about your hair thinning or just want to improve its overall health, this place is the best in West Hollywood. I'll definitely be sticking with them!
I stopped in after living in the area for many years. They did not have a walk in appointment available however they were able to get me an appointment to get my hair cut 2 hours later. I am so glad I stopped in. This place is definitely one of West Hollywood’s hidden gems. A totally cool place to vibe. The concierges at the front desk were awesome and I reviewed the best haircut I have ever had.
I recently had been searching for a place to have a hair transplant procedure and the industry in Southern California is sporadic with pricing and information regarding the procedure. My fiancée had let me know about this place through the Try Guys Video and I was reluctant at first because I thought they would be way over budget or not able to satisfy my needs. I did schedule a consultation with Travis and he was kind, informative, and even shared he had his hair transplant done here prior. Although, I had done consultations with other places, not one of them made me feel as comfortable and have the care that every single person working at Barber Surgeons Guild gave to me and every customer I saw go there. I decided to get my transplant done there on September 23rd, 2024 and today is my 12th day post procedure. The experience was phenomenal from the information given to me about what to do before the procedure, to not feeling pain basically at all when I was getting the procedure, to the post operation care that they gave me. They all are outstanding at their jobs and deserve the praise. Rodney, the Clinical Manager who assisted Laurent, the Physician Assistant both did an amazing job on structuring my hairline and giving me exactly what I was looking for with my transplant. Melissa at the front desk is helpful with scheduling everything and Travis is the go to person on helping you land your transplant day as well as the information regarding the procedure. I also had two techs who both were so kind and perfect at putting in the grafts. The entire team had a great system in place and the whole process took about 8-9 hours. Laurent is perfect at his craft with hair transplants and is so down to earth. I recommend him if you are looking to get a hair transplant. I ended up getting around 2,500 grafts which I believe was perfect for what I need at this moment. Here are a couple pictures of today 12 days after the procedure and a before picture. I also am on oral Finasteride and oral Minoxidil which both were started 1 month prior to the surgery and was on topical minoxidil for 5 years prior. I will update the pictures as the year goes on to show my final results at 1 year post operation.
