I just discovered Ramy's salon. My daughter went through puberty during the pandemic and soft curls turned into tight coils. I have uncared for wavy hair so I did not know where to go or how to help my poor kid. That wasn't an issue until prom rolled around. That's how i discovered Ramy. She was so kind and professional and attentive. It was fast and easy and my prom princess looks FABULOUS! Ramy helped guide us on the next steps to take to make sure these curls are at their best always. She is truly a blessing.

I have gotten my hair individually braided several times at this salon and have been extremely satisfied. I would like to commend /recommend hairstylist Victoria for all your braiding needs. Victoria has a pleasant disposition. She can be relied on and is prompt and efficient. She is versatile in the styles she creates. Her braids are neat and they last. Went to get some extentions installed, and the girl who did them did a horrible lazy job. A week later, one of them started coming off. I called the owner, and she said to go in so they could see them. I asked if i was going to be charged, and she said maybe. Depending on how it is. I don't understand why I should have to pay again for a job that was not done correctly from the beginning. The owner said she didn't have time to talk to me at the moment and that she would call me back later. I am still waiting for the call. Never again. It was a waste of money.

Please stay AWAY! At least for any kind of haircut.. I took my daughter there yesterday (Saturday January 27th at 5pm), as a walk-in and asked if she was able to do a simple straight trim on my daughter's hair to which the lady replied yes. She only wanted 2 inches cut. I showed the lady the length we wanted off, and she ended up going 4 inches shorter than that. And that was not even the worse part. She grabbed small scissors, which I thought was odd, but hey she's "supposed" to be the professional, not me. She literally started chopping my daughter's hair in the most uneven motion I had ever seen! I was dumbfounded! I have never seen anyone EVER cut hair in such a distasteful, reckless manner! She didn't even wet her hair, or use a comb to brush it out and try to make it even! I had to stop her before she messed my daughter's hair up even further. My daughter was literally in tears, and this lady was so unapologetic and unsympathetic, it was disgusting! I asked her if she was the owner, which she said she was. I asked her name and she was reluctant to tell me, but said Sondra, which I don't even believe. If your specialty is not a simple trim, please don't mislead customers to believe you are competent enough to complete the task. There is no way any trained professional would have went at my daughter's hair in such an egregious fashion. I had to take her to another salon to have this botched job fixed. The lady who fixed her hair was appalled! And said it looked like thinning shears were used to cut the hair. Very unprofessional! BEWARE!

Some things are just stereotypically ridiculous. This is the third time I've tried to patronize this store during the BUSINESS HOURS. First time, it said they opened at 9. I got there at 8:50 and waited because I had a morning appointment. 9:20...no one is there. I called the number. African gentlemen says "the lady is probably picking up her kid". I try a second time like a month later to buy braid hair. Got there after 10 same deal. This time, the guy said "she had an emergency" it's not an emergency, it's a pattern. I keep trying to go there because it's the closest black owned shop to me. Almost every time....it's an issue. Respect client's time. I make a final attempt today. Got there at 4:32. There was a sign that said "I'll be back in 20 min. Call ____" ok, 20min from when?? Was the not left 2 minutes ago, 18min ago, or 42 min ago??? I call and the woman said she was on her way. She'd be right there. I said no, how many minutes. She said I'll be right there. I said ma'am, how many minutes until you're here? She said 15 she had to go to the bank. Smh. It's poor planning. You're open or you're not. There's business hours or there's not. So, yet again, I went to the nonblacknowned shop. Enough is enough. It's a never again for me. Do better
